North Sea Lubricants updates ATF portfolio

From February 2026, North Sea Lubricants will update its Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) portfolio. Several existing products will be merged into two new ATFs, helping customers make the right choice faster, while keeping the portfolio structured and ready for future additions.

What is changing?

To create a clearer, easier-to-manage range, five current products will be replaced by two new products:

  • ATF POWER LG 6 and ATF POWER LG 8 will be merged into the new ATF POWER LV.
  • ATF POWER MBF, ATF POWER DX VI and ATF POWER LG6 Red will be merged into the new ATF POWER LV Red.

Why are we making this change?

This update supports our goal of keeping the ATF portfolio clear and practical without offering unnecessary overlap. It helps distributors, workshops and fleet customers by reducing complexity and improving day-to-day product selection.

What’s next: ATF POWER ULV

By merging these products, we create room in the portfolio for a new addition: ATF POWER ULV. A dedicated product for the newest generation of American vehicles. We see strong demand for this application, especially from Scandinavia and the Middle East.

Updated North Sea Lubricants ATF portfolio overview (general application guidance)

Below is the updated portfolio and the general application* positioning:

  • ATF POWER F – Classic cars (typically 1970 and older)
  • ATF POWER DX II – Approx. 1970–1995 (red coloured)

  • ATF POWER MV – Approx. 1980–2005 (compatible with more vehicles than DX III; improved shifting behaviour)
